  • 787 bill in new spending and tax cuts
  • create 3.5 million jobs nationwide in:

-        energy, environment, education, healthcare, highway construction

  • 75,000 new jobs in Washington alone

-        This would put all unemployed people in the last 7 months back to work

  • Increase unemployment benefits and job training by $6 billion
  • Put $39 billion into Cobra benefits
  • $281 tax credits and incentives

 

How the President’s Stimulus Plan will Affect Employees Paychecks

-        increase earned income

  • Benefits Administration – Cobra

-        subsidize 65% of cobra for 9 months
