1) Next dinner meeting is Wednesday, August 26th at the Rainier Valley Country Club (Jo)
§ Need Greeters and Sponsors for visitors and new members
§ Signup sheets passed around at meeting

2) Joint National Conference is October 19th – 21st at The Palms Resort in Las Vegas (Jo)
3) Annual Chapter planning meeting took place on July 11th (Jo)
§ 15 members attended
§ The group discussed the Chapter’s strategic plan, worked on planning tools and developed a key issue list
§ Next board meeting is Wednesday, August 5th at Marilyn’s office located at 3411 Thorndyke Avenue West, Seattle, WA 98119 (contact Jo for more information)

§ $204,000 awarded since the inception in 1962
§ $15,000 awarded this year to 5 women

6) Basket for ASWA Educational Foundation - “The Foundation” (Rachel & Marilyn)
§ Marilyn will deliver Seattle’s Basket to the JNC in Las Vegas
§ Creating a basket filled with handmade items – things created by our members
§ Evergreen State so the theme of the basket is “Green”
§ Create anything that can travel on a plane
